Many spa problems are caused by poor filtration. If a filter is functioning properly, it helps keep water clean by capturing debris and contaminants such as hair, oils and cosmetics. When a filter is dirty, much of this remains in the spa water. Cartridges should be removed from the filter housing and cleaned regularly. Cartridges should be replaced every 12 – 18 months to maintain optimum filtration.
