Seebohm qualifies for fourth Olympic Games

EMILY Seebohm has powered to victory in the women’s 100m backstroke final to claim her position on the 2012 London Olympic team.

Seebohm was stronger than her opposition in the final 50m to win in a time of 59.28 seconds, ahead of world championship 200m medallist Belinda Hocking who stopped the clock in 59.41s to also qualify for London.

“I feel on top of the world and I’m just so glad to be here right now,” Seebohm said.

“I wanted it so bad this year and I have trained so hard for it.”
